Hello! :) My name is Phoebe Rusch and I’m a paper stop motion animator. I am currently in my last year of college at College For Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. I had the joy and honor interning as a character designer for Paperbrain Productions, a paper stop motion based studio in Houston, Texas over the summer of 2024. Growing up, I knew I wanted to be a storyteller and I would focus on writing stories. But animation captured my interest during my high school years and I loved how the medium can tell visually appealing stories compared to writing. I loved watching people’s animated films on YouTube and that’s what inspired me the most to get into animation. Because of these works and influences and my own desire to tell stories, I love character driven stories. I enjoy the way a fictional character can grab the audiences’ attention and how they can be relatable.
